Controversial filmmaker Robert E. A. Lee producer of A Time for Burning, the 1966 documentary that brought Omaha civil rights leader and Nebraska’s longest serving state legislator Ernest (Ernie) Chambers to national prominence, died February 22nd, 2009, at his home in New York.
