Betty started her career as a set designer,
before moving over to acting and voice over work. While living in Columbus, Ohio, Betty stated Midwest Talent Network.
Betty, a self proclaimed workaholic, has been living in here in Los Angeles
full time for about 6 years. She manages 36 people and has an intern
program for people interested in management. She is very active in the
Talent Management Association and produces their website at
www.talentmangers.org.
What does Betty look for in people she's interested in representing:
A person dedicated to their craft
Could they be a series regular
Do they whine, complain or act jealous
Do they have a positive attitude
Do they enjoy the process.
Betty only interviews about 1 person every 2 months or so. She says that
pictures are important because of what they say about the person.
Her advise on how to get a manger:
Look at the Talent Managers Association Website
Look what people are looking for
Be proactive
Network
Do plays and Showcases
Keep at it.
