Hollywood Salon
We welcome DAN POVENMIRE, Creator and Executive Producer, PHINEAS AND FERB

Animation is one of the creative arts where imagination has no limits. And for a multi-talented animator, there is no better place to stretch your wings and try on many hats. Our June guest is a veritable mad hatter!

Our Monday, June 10th Salon guest is Emmy Award-winning animation veteran Dan Povenmire, co-creator and executive producer of Disney Channel’s animated comedy series, PHINEAS AND FERB. Meet Dan who is looking forward to sharing his knowledge & expertise with YOU.

This series has nabbed him SEVEN Emmy nominations in four different categories ranging from songwriting to voiceover performance. In 2010, he won the coveted Emmy for Outstanding Writing in Animation for the series.

Currently his show MILO MURPHY’S LAW airs on Disney XD. Dan also writes and occasionally performs songs heard in the series and plays the voice of the ridiculously evil character, Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, who also appeared regularly on PHINEAS AND FERB.

He has over 20 years of experience in the animation industry: directing, storyboarding, writing, and animating on such critically acclaimed series as FAMILY GUY, SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS, THE SIMPSONS, ROCKO’S MODERN LIFE, and HEY ARNOLD, among others.

In 2000 and 2006, Dan was nominated for an Emmy Award for his directorial work on FAMILY GUY; and he was recognized with an Annie Award nomination for his work on the same show. Born in California and raised in Mobile, Alabama, Dan attended USC Film School.

Hope to see you on MONDAY, JUNE 10th…an unforgettable Salon awaits!
