The Pig ‘N Whistle Holiday Party

Monday, December 12th, 2005

Tonight we won’t be at CBS — but at a hip Hollywood nightspot, THE PIG ‘N WHISTLE. This venerable old haunt was built in 1927 and has now been totally restored as one of the hottest spots to see & be seen in Tinsel Town, right on Hollywood Boulevard next to the American Cinemateque’s Egyptian Theatre.  We’ll have the exclusive back room all to ourselves, complete with our own bar and lounging beds. There’ll be special live performances from our NCC musical talents, a caroling sing-along, a visit from Santa, super-sized Nebraska raffles, and much more.  The party will start a bit later than normal Salons, at 8pm, and will go until 11pm or so.

Perry Garrett and Tim Simmons

Monday, November 14th, 2005 Could you make a film in just 48 hours?  There is a group of filmmakers in LA who have been doing that very successfully over the last few years. Many NCCers have participated in The 48 HOUR FILM PROJECT, and now we will have a chance to see the finished shorts, find out what it took to complete them, learn the tricks of how actors, writers, directors and others all do it all so FAST.  At the November Salon TONIGHT, Perry Garrett (NBC Universal) and Tim Simmons (formerly of New Line) will discuss – and present – their 48 hour film shorts. It’s a night of screenings and Q&A that you won’t want to miss.  Hope to see you at the Hollywood Salon tonight.
