Our Salon guest tonight is not only one of the best mystery writers around, but she also was the on-screen wife of Rick Moranis, sister of Steve Martin, and ex-wife of Billy Crystal.

Before she re-invented herself as an author, and won a slew of Best Mystery Awards, she starred in some big classic movies for Directors Ron Howard, Rob Reiner, Frank Marshall and Producer Steven Spielberg.

The author of novels like DATING DEAD MEN, DATING IS MURDER, DEAD EX, and A DATE YOU CAN’T REFUSE is Harley Jane Kozak. Yes, the same Harley Jane Kozak who also – in her previous life as an actor – starred in classic films like PARENTHOOD, WHEN HARRY MET SALLY and ARACHNOPHOBIA.

As if that’s not enough, she also contributes extremely entertaining (and very Nebraska-friendly) blogs on THE LIPSTICK CHRONICLES. (There’s link to her blog posts on www.harleyjanekozak.com)

And Harley will be joining us at the September Salon! She’ll undoubtedly fill us in about her participation this summer at the Nebraska Summer Writers Program and also her acting last year at the UNL Johnny Carson Film School in an innovative short film, VIPERS IN THE GRASS – with half-professional and half-students.
