JD MORAN is originally from Granger, Iowa. He is a model scout and agent who oversees the Development Board for WILHELMINA MODELS in Los Angeles. JD was the Student Body Vice President at the University of Iowa where he graduated with a degree in American Studies. Before moving to LA, he spent ten years as the North American Director of Scouting for IMG MODELS in New York City. JD has traveled the world to discover and launch the careers of countless models. His models have graced the runways and starred in campaigns for major designers including PRADA, SAINT LAURENT, GUCCI, VERSACE, GIVENCHY, THE ROW, BURBERRY, VALENTINO, MARC JACOBS, and more. In an industry known for being mean, JD attributes his success to being “Iowa Nice.”
