NCC 2023 SalonFest & Tribute

It’s time. We’re back and in person! Be there for the first Salon of the year TONIGHT, Monday, February 13th at 8PM at ARTSEE NFT Gallery in Downtown LA. We can’t wait to give you a big hug!
Our first guest of the year is a Nebraskan you’re sure to recognize. She has had numerous prominent roles in blockbuster films and network television and wants to share about her experiences with you! Stop by – tonight promises to be a momentous event celebrating our return!
Nancy graduated from Smith College and trained in London at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. She has worked in many Regional Theaters including ARENA STAGE, SHAKESPEARE THEATRE, DELAWARE THEATRE CO, & VIRGINIA STAGE CO. Her films include WASHINGTON SQUARE, SUBURBICON, THE TRAGEDY OF MACBETH, & BULLET TRAIN. Television credits include THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT, CRIMINAL MINDS, NEW GIRL & JOEY.
She wrote and performed her one-woman show, MASSAGE ON THE FLIP SIDE – BEATING UP THE NAKED PEOPLE in LA for three years running. Her second one-woman show, WHAT IF I FLY (Dir. Nick Demos, Come From AWAY) is dedicated to her father CDR Frederick Daly who died from the effects of Dementia in 2019. She is a very proud Alzheimer’s and Veterans advocate.

We have a temporary home! This month we will be meeting at ARTSEE NFT Gallery in Downtown Los Angeles at 660 S Ave 21 #5, Los Angeles, CA 90031. This is an exciting new art gallery located just East of Chinatown. Note, the gallery is on a Dead End which turns into a parking lot. While there’s a lot of available parking, it is shared with the gym next door. There is more space to park on the south side of the building. If you need help, stop in and we’ll point you in the right direction.
Remember, with your entry you receive a drink ticket and raffle ticket (suggested donation $15). The gallery will have a selection of beer and wine. This is the first time we’ve raised prices in a decade due to the increase in rental spaces. (If anyone has the hookup, maybe we can help remedy this…nudge nudge!) As always, we want to have you there – if $15 is a hardship, come to volunteer to help us set up or greet the check-ins & we’ll cover your entrance fee.
We WILL be offering a Zoom setup for those who can’t make it to DTLA in person – be sure to RSVP that you’ll be zooming in and we’ll send you the link!

New Year, New Home
Your NCC is still on a quest to find its permanent Home Sweet Home in Hollywood! We would still love to discuss ideas with you: perhaps a theatre that’s dark on Monday, a private room in a bar/restaurant, or a soundstage with a meeting space. Email us! We’d love your help in shaping the next chapter of your Hollywood Salon!
