The next Hollywood Salon is coming up tomorrow, Monday, September 11th…and you won’t want to miss this one!  The producer of the hit indie film NAPOLEON DYNAMITE will be joining us to share his secrets of producing an international film sensation.  Sean Covel hails from South Dakota, but he got his undergrad degree from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. His masters is from the USC Peter Stark Producing Program, where he met his producing partner, Chris Wyatt.  Their first effort, NAPOLEON DYNAMITE, was directed by Jared Hess. Made for only $400,000, the film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and quickly sold to Fox Searchlight and MTV Films. The picture went on to make $44 million domestically and over $100 million on DVD, making it one of the most profitable independent films in history.  The duo have since produced three films coming out later this year: THINK TANK (CFE), BENEATH (Paramount Classics/MTV Films), and 12 DOGS (Universal).  Don’t miss the chance to hang with this successful indie feature producer (and great fellow Midwesterner). Be sure to RSVP now!  The Hollywood Salon is Monday, September 11th at CBS-TV City…hope to see you there.  CHECK OUT OUR WEBSITE FOR DETAILS, RSVP INFO and MORE…   Come to the Salon to meet friends. Old ones & new ones…to build your career…to find inspiration…to share your news and share your dreams…to have a taste of home.
