Hollywood Salon
Our Special Guest:
Actor NICK D’AGOSTO

Are you ready for a hot summer Salon?  We’ve got a great one for you tomorrow night…

Last month we brought you the long-awaited return of Production Designer Sandy Veneziano. She brought along surprise guests Director Dan Petrie, Actress/Author Harley Jane Kozak and Propmaster Blanche Sindelar. You just never know who you’ll meet at the Salon…

And we also got the report on Todd Nelson‘s trip back to Kearney to celebrate Jon Bokenkamp‘s new World Theatre opening with Alexander Payne.

Now…about tomorrow’s August Salon…

Nick D’Agosto is one of the happening young male stars of movies and tv. But he’s also just a kid from Omaha. And he’ll be our guest at the August 13th Hollywood Salon.

Nick got his start on Alexander Payne’s “Election” back in 1999, and soon made the move to Hollywood and shows like “Boston Public,” “ER,” “House” and “The Office.” Film roles include “Rocket Science,” “Dirty Girl,” “Final Destination 5,” and the recent “From Prada to Nada.” He has also signed on to “Masters of Sex,” a new Showtime series coming next year.

Don’t miss this chance to come meet Nick and ask him about his secrets of taking Hollywood by storm. You can say you knew him “back when”…

Hope to see you tomorrow — that’s Monday, August 13th — at the Culver!

Salon Tonight with Producer Terry Anzaldo

Monday, November 14th, 2011
Hollywood Salon
Special Guest:  Super-Producer Terry AnzaldoMusic, entertainment and sports are driving forces in Hollywood. Our November guest is a driven super-producer who has his capable hands crafting star careers and projects in all three arenas …

Tonight, the NCC extends a Big Red welcome to Terry Anzaldo! Whether it’s hit records, one-of-a-kind TV productions or celebrity-studded sporting events, Terry has been there and continues to do all of that. Meet him tonight at the Salon and discover what it takes to be an independent producer, content developer, promoter and talent manager at the industry’s highest levels.

A native of Omaha, Terry Anzaldo started his production company Good Guy Entertainment with his twin brother, Anthony, a few years back. Together, they have collaborated with many of the best-known classic and current iconic stars in American pop-culture history.

He previously worked as an executive with Madonna‘s Maverick Records label, where he chiefly was responsible for the on-air radio success of the Alanis Morissette album “Jagged Little Pill.” A taste of Terry’s other diverse accomplishments include managing the career of Barry Williams (Greg Brady of “Brady Bunch” fame), producing TV reunion shows for “Dallas” and “The Brady Bunch,” producing and casting reality TV’s “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew” and working with talent on shows such as “Dancing with the Stars” and “Celebrity Apprentice.”

Among Terry’s past and present radio productions are shows with Boyz II Men, Eddie Money, Tone Loc, Henry Rollins, Steve Jones (Sex Pistols), Henry Rollins and actor C. Thomas Howell. His war stories and wisdom about branching out as an indie executive in Los Angeles should prove a riveting night at the Salon.

See you at the Salon TONIGHT: Monday, November 14th.  Tony Moton will be guest hosting.

Before his gig with Nationwide, Bob was a regular on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Chappelle’s Show and Late Night with Conan O’Brien. He’s also been featured in national commercials for AOL, Microsoft, Staples, Domino’s Pizza and many others.

We’re thrilled to have Bob join us as our special guest at the Salon tonight, Monday June 13th. Come learn his secrets of making comedy look easy.

Also tonight, filmmaker Mike Montgomery (who guested after winning his big Coca Cola Filmmaker’s Award last year) will be showing us a sneak peek from his beautiful new film, The Garden.  You’ve never seen anything like his take on the Eden story — it’ll be a great treat to share in it’s debut.  And find out how YOU can help be a part of it.

Zanuck’s NCC Salon TONIGHT!

Monday, May 9th, 2011
Hollywood Salon
It’s going to be a big night: Film Producer Dean Zanuck at the Nebraska Coast Connection Salon TONIGHT!
One of the hottest new producers in film just happens to be the grandson of a Nebraskan who had an enormous impact on Hollywood history.  He’s guesting at the Salon tonight.  (Your career may never forgive you for missing this one).

It was ninety years ago that his grandad came out of Wahoo, Nebraska to make his mark in Hollywood. Darryl F. Zanuck, one of the original Nebraska Coast pioneers, went on to great success as executive and producer at Warner Bros and 20th Century Fox. The Grapes of Wrath, How Green Was My Valley, Cleopatra, Planet of the Apes, and The Sound of Music are just a few of the memorable films he brought to the screen.

Darryl’s son Richard Zanuck has also produced acclaimed films like Jaws, Driving Miss Daisy, and Alice in Wonderland.

Now a third generation of Zanucks is adding to the Hollywood tradition. Dean Zanuck recently produced Get Low, a critical hit starring Robert Duvall and Bill Murray. He also produced Road to Perdition and from P.A. to Exec has worked on many other films such as Yes Man, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Apollo 13.

Almost a century after his famous grandfather left Nebraska for the movie biz, Dean will be coming back to his Nebraska roots. The NCC Salon on May 9th is proud to have Dean as our special guest.

Hope you’ll be joining us — and Dean Zanuck — at the Culver TONIGHT May 9th!
